Cold & Flu Fighting Sea Moss Chicken Bone Broth Soup Recipe

Cold and flu season is upon us, and there's nothing better than a hot bowl of soup to soothe sore throats and stuffy noses. One of the best soups for fighting off a cold is bone broth chicken soup, and when infused with sea moss and turmeric, it becomes an even more powerful remedy. Sea moss is a type of sea algae that is jam-packed with nutrients, including iodine, potassium, and calcium, which can help boost your immune system and naturally fight off colds and flu.

 

To make this soup, you'll need the following ingredients:

  • 1 whole chicken (raw or rotisserie)
  • 7.5 cups of water
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
  • 6 tablespoons of sea moss gel
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric

Directions

  1. Begin by placing the chicken in a large pot and covering it with the water. Bring the water to a boil and then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 2-3 hours.

  2. While the chicken is simmering, prepare the vegetables. Peel and chop the onion, carrots, and celery and set them aside.

  3. After 2-3 hours, remove the chicken from the pot and let it cool. Once it's cool enough to handle, remove the meat from the bones and set it aside.

  4. Add the sea moss gel, turmeric, onion, garlic, carrots, celery, salt and apple cider vinegar to the pot and let it simmer for another 30 minutes.

  5. Finally, add the shredded chicken meat back to the pot and let it simmer for an additional 10 minutes.

  6. Ladle the soup into bowls and enjoy!
